Not every Syrah needs to turn up in a tux. The 2022 fruit was okay, the weather had other plans, and what came out the other side is a light-bodied red with just enough fruit and no long finish to speak of. Wingman is for Kraft mac and cheese on a Tuesday, taco night, or a Big Mac you are not apologising for. It makes everything better without stealing the show — which is exactly what a good wingman does.
